Trammell Crow Company has submitted a full planning application to Rochdale Borough Council for the creation of a 492,500 sq ft employment park on the existing employment site of Heywood Stores in Rochdale.
The redevelopment of the 27.8 acre employment site includes the demolition of all existing units and erection of new storage and distribution units (Use Class B8) with ancillary office space, vehicular, pedestrian and cycle access, external yards, parking, landscaping and associated works.
There will be 398 car parking spaces in total, including 21 EV charging spaces, 26 accessible spaces and 18 car sharing spaces as well as provision of 61 cycle parking spaces. The plans also include 29,170 sqm of green space, tree planting and habitat creation and SuDS, including a surface water attenuation feature.
The project team have carefully considered wide ranging feedback received during the pre-application consultation from elected members, local residents and statutory consultees and where possible incorporated this into the design.
A full Statement of Community Involvement has been submitted with the planning application detailing the consultation, feedback received and a response to that feedback with detailed responses addressed within the planning application and supporting documentation.
Once the application is validated, the plans will be available to view and there will be a further opportunity to provide formal feedback via Rochdale Borough Council planning portal.
Thank you to all members of the public who provided feedback during the pre-application consultation stage. If you would like to contact the project team you can do so by telephone, email, or in writing using the details below.
